If you think about it, almost every Thanksgiving dinner is a potluck dinner. Everyone brings something to contribute to the meal and you don't always know exactly what it's going to be or how it goes with everything else.
But a company Thanksgiving meal is even more of a matter of luck because you have an even bigger variety of family and cultural backgrounds. Some of the foods are just what you would have expected from your background, but others will bring something that you would never have thought of having at Thanksgiving.
I'm pretty sure that I have never had tamales at a Thanksgiving dinner I've been to and I've been to a lot of them. But someone wanted to share a piece of their history with us and I appreciated it. By the way, they were delicious.
Now, brownies I've had at Thanksgiving. These were delicious also.
Thanksgiving is a week away. Each day until then, write down something you are thankful for and then share it with the ones you share a meal with next week.
