Directly across from one of Downey High School's oldest buildings (see Old school) is the school's newest building.
This is Building C, one of several buildings currently under construction. It is replacing the old administration building.The old building was the site of a mural by artist Charlotte von Troesch. The demolition of this mural caused a bit of controversy a couple of years ago. (See What I didn't know.)
