There are many signs that summer is over and fall is approaching. The days get shorter and cooler. School starts. But for me, the event that most signals the coming of fall is the appearance of geese migrating south.
Nearly every day this week, there has been a different flock of geese at Furman Park. They are attracted to the open spaces and puddles of water of the park as they make their way south for the winter.
