The Downey Patriot reported on August 24, 2015, that street repairs were beginning at Firestone and Paramount. The projected 4-month improvement and widening project is now past the 6-month mark and appears to have a ways to go. While I will someday appreciate all the improvements, which include a wider street and new and better sidewalks and landscaped medians, the reality is that I resent the added traffic and inconvenience every night I drive home from work.
