Four weddings, no funeral

Today I attended a combined wedding service. The weddings were held at Parkcrest Christian Church in Long Beach. After teaching a series on relationships, the pastor offered to marry any interested couples who either didn't have the resources or who just hadn't gotten around to setting a date.

Four couples took advantage of his offer (one of them was a girlfriend of mine).

The church provided the location, and the some of the traditional wedding amenities (bouquets, cake, live music). They had a beautifully decorated reception room and did a really nice job of providing a memorable experience for the couples, friends, and family members. It was a fun, special event.
