Along with several city announcements (like the last Concert in the Park and a few Community Watch BBQues) going on this week, the city of Downey promoted some Police officers. It was strange seeing one of our "City's Finest" tear up while mentioning his family in his speech.
"Strange"....was the word you used, for a man that cares about his family, and shows emotion, really?

Strange was the word I meant. I have only seen the tough, hard side of cops while they're giving tickets, setting up speed traps, and answering neighborhood noise calls. Strange isn't a bad word. It was just out of my ordinary experience with them.
