Local politics
Former U.S. Speaker of the House Tip O'Neill coined the phrase "All politics is local."
If you watch TV, you sometimes get the impression that elections are just state and national events. But as I walked around my neighborhood the other day and looked at all of the campaign signs posted on the lawns, I thought, you know, politics really is local. The names represented on those signs live in my city and most likely will not become well-known outside of it.
Don't forget to vote tomorrow!
