There are sometimes when I don't want to go to bed because of the beauty of the night. There is just something that can't be captured in the day time. The shadows are softer and everything melds together as one.
But sometimes, the same shadows can betray you. The ones that seem to move without wind. The night can play tricks on the mind and when you wake up, you realize how foolish you had been.
One of my favorite authors sums it up nicely...
"In my age, as in my youth, night brings me many a deep remorse. I realize that from the cradle up I have been like the rest of the race - never quite sane in the night." ~Mark Twain
