Lately I've been walking along the Rio Hondo riverbed. It's a nice trail with lots of bushes and flowers that make it seem more like an actual path following a river and less like a cemented waterway. On my last trip I noticed how many different modes of transportation were visible as I ambled along. It got me thinking about the whole idea of the journey versus destination.
"It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end."

This really makes me want to take a walk (or bike ride) on this river walk. It's the sort of thing you just don't expect to see in a suburb like Downey. Thanks for showing us so many places that we pass every day without noticing. You have opened our eyes to what is around us!
